Sempervivum
The Sempervivum or houseleek is an intriguing, low-growing, mat-forming, succulent plant. It is evergreen and forms rosette-shaped plants in greens, reds and yellow – almost resembling little roses. It can also produce flower spikes in pinks or pale yellow. It is an incredibly hardy plant, reproduces vegetatively when the main rosette, known as the “hen”, produces tiny, offset rosettes known as “chicks” (hence the common name, Hens and Chicks).
Varieties: Black, Ruby Heart
Exposure: Sun
Deer Resistant
