Aquilegia caerulea ‘KIRIGAMI Deep Blue & White’

Common Name: Columbine

A big hit during the 2018 California Spring Trials. We have tested this series and can confirm that they are first year flowering, upright stems, and upward-facing flowers as the breeder claims. From Syngenta Flowers.

KIRIGAMI™ Deep Blue & White has flowers with a mixture of dark indigo blue and white shades.

Aquilegia is especially lovely when allowed to naturalize in shady, woodland borders. They also have excellent potential as cut flowers, lasting up to 2 weeks in a vase.

Blooms in late spring/early summer. Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbit resistant.
